This article is about the gametype. For more uses of the term Infinity, see its disambiguation page. Infinity Slayer is a Slayer variant playable in Halo 4. It allows players to earn points during the course of a match which can eventually be used up to call in Ordnance from overhead.
Ordnance drops within Infinity Slayer consist of three selectable but randomly generated weapons or power-ups, the latter which can alter the Spartans' speed, shielding, or ability to issue damage. Players start out with Sniper Rifles. There are no weapons on map except grenades and an occasional Beam Rifle. Speed Boost, for example, not only makes you move faster, but also makes you reload your weapons noticeably quicker as well. You can learn more about upgrades, tactical packages and armor abilities here.
Not only do these power ups give your character a boost, but they have an aesthetic value as well. Each power up gives your character a different color glow on their armor, with Over Shield giving you a green one, the Damage Boost giving you a red one, and finally, the Speed Boost giving you a blue one as well leaving a small trail on your character when it moves.
Infinity is also won by gaining points earned by doing anything whereas regular slayer is won by earning kills. Be polite. Be efficient. Have a plan to kill everyone you meet. Plasmarrow posted All Infinity footage I've seen only has the score increase from kills.
Everything else just goes towards your personal score. Ah, I see. Another question, will Invasion return?
SuperDS22 posted Doubt it, there won't be elites in multiplayer. If they did it would prolly be just like big team. SW - ; Shield ign. User Info: tyler1o1o.
